Bourbon Sauce

Ingredients

  • 5 cups of oil
  • 1 ½ cups of garlic
  • 1 ½ cups of ginger
  • 20 tablespoons of crushed red pepper
  • 36 cups of water
  • 2 ½ cups of soy sauce
  • 5 ¼ cups of ketchup
  • 18 cups of apple juice
  • 12 cups of brown sugar
  • ½ cup -1 cup of corn starch

Directions

Sauté garlic, ginger, and crushed red pepper in oil for 15 minutes be careful not to burn.

Add water, soy sauce, ketchup, apple juice and brown sugar.

Let simmer for 2-3 hours add cornstarch to thicken if needed.
